Kigurumi Size Guide: Choosing an Adult or Kids' Onesie
Choose a kigurumi using the size information for the specific product, not a letter size or age label alone. At AMAIGC, many adult listings use S-XL height references, while several children's listings use 100-140 cm height labels. Different designs may fit differently.
Start with the individual product
Open the listing for the exact design and colour you want. Check its size options and any size chart. A wearer-height reference is not the same as a measured garment length, chest circumference or sleeve length. Contact us when a measurement needed for your decision is missing.
Adult height references and unit conversions
The following conversion table applies only to listings that explicitly use these same height ranges. It is not a universal size chart or a set of measurements taken from the garments.
| Listed size | Wearer height in centimetres | Approximate height in inches |
|---|---|---|
| S | 140-159 cm | 55.1-62.6 in |
| M | 160-169 cm | 63.0-66.5 in |
| L | 170-179 cm | 66.9-70.5 in |
| XL | 180-189 cm | 70.9-74.4 in |
Conversions use 1 inch = 2.54 cm and are rounded to one decimal place. Keep the centimetre range as the original reference when checking a listing.
Choosing a children's size
Some listings use the labels 3T (100 cm), 5T (110 cm), 7Years (120 cm), 9Years (130 cm) and 11Years (140 cm). These are listing labels, not a guarantee that a particular age fits that size. Their approximate height equivalents are 39.4, 43.3, 47.2, 51.2 and 55.1 inches respectively.
Use the child's current measurements and check the exact product. Do not infer sleepwear suitability, safety certification or fabric performance from an animal design or a size label.
What to check when height alone is not enough
Ask for the relevant chest or hip circumference, garment length and sleeve length. Identify whether the supplied number is a body measurement or a flat garment measurement. Do not assume that sizing up guarantees the required fit, especially when the available chart does not include the measurement you need.
Matching adult and children's designs
Adult and children's versions are separate products. Check each listing's colour, sizes and availability independently; similar names or photographs do not guarantee identical construction or colour.
